THIS MONTHS ADVENTURE
TYRCONNELL GOLD MINE

Recent travelers have fallen in love with the uniqueness and lure of the property Tyrconnell Gold Mine.

Tyrconnell is located in pristine Australian bush; 2½ hours drive from Cairns and 35km from Dimbulah, the nearest town. The owners of Tyrconnell, Cate Harley & Andy Bell help you relive the charm of the by gone Gold Mining era. Try your luck at gold panning, explore the surrounding area - climb Mount Milligan for a spectacular view of the Atherton Table region.

Cate's background in Cultural design has been a great asset in the creation of their four beautifully restored Miners cottages. Encompassing an "Australiana" sense to the cottages, the corrugated iron structures give you a feel of the yester year. Including fabulous ensuite bathrooms with claw-foot bath tubs to relax in after great day spent exploring Tyrconnell.

Of late Cate and Andy in their capacity as wildlife carers are about to take charge of another furry baby. This time a 4 and a half-month-old male Wallaroo, still in his (synthetic) pouch and demanding warm milk every 4 hours! Cate and Andy say "He is really beautiful" and they will let us know when he arrives. Cate also said that "Ruby their 2 year old Eastern Grey Kangaroo is bound to be very jealous."

Please note, in the next few weeks we will be arranging a time where you will be able to converse with Cate and Andy in our Bush Telegraph chat room.
