Tana Jane McCaldin Tours
Tropical North, Queensland

Tana Jane's (TJ's) guiding commenced as an 18 year old while discovering her love for travel and nature in Kenya.

TJ has lived in North Queensland for the past 14 years, and now provides discerning travellers with a fascinating insight into Far North Queensland region. TJ has a passion for the Daintree Rainforest and coastal area but also provides a superb local flavour by introducing you to the people who have made this beautiful region of Australia their home. She has developed relationships with private property owners and specialised experts who provide exclusive access to their own slice of paradise.

TJ's exuberant and enthusiastic approach comes from a genuine love for this particular region that she now calls home. This enthusiasm is infectious and anyone who travels with TJ cannot help but have an educational and enjoyable time through a region that boasts the oldest rainforest in the world.

Visit rainforest cloaked waterfalls and running streams of rare beauty, take a silent electric boat ride upon the Daintree River in search of the elusive saltwater crocodile, a guided twilight/nocturnal walk and be surprised by rarely seen native mammals and bird-life.

En-route enjoy a delicious lunch in a private rainforest setting and a refreshing swim in the crystal clear blue water of a rainforest pool (weather permitting).

The ecological significance of this region is truly amazing in its own right, but doing it accompanied by TJ and her close acquaintances will make this an experience that will not be forgotten.

Special Activities:
- Excellent Interpretation of the environment with private access to special areas of the Daintree Rainforest
- Customised experiences with regional experts to suit your varied interests including ornithology, wildlife, botanical and cultural.
- Guided hiking and walking of the remote and untouched parts of this diverse forest and ecosystem
- Private lunches in secluded and dramatic settings.
- Meeting local interesting characters who live in the region
